5 Favorite Moments from Younger Season 3

Younger Season 3

Well, it’s a wrap on another season of Younger. There were many ups-and-downs for Liza (Sutton Foster) and her circle of friends. Against the backdrop of new work ventures–potential new bosses and hot new writers (literally, Jay Wilkison as Colin is so attractive)–everyone’s love lives come to life. Kelsey (Hilary Duff) got back into the dating world. Maggie (Debi Mazur) and Lauren (Molly Bernard) go their separate ways (and into other relationships). Diana (Miriam Shor) shacks up with someone–and gets a mouthy parrot pet in the deal. And, finally, Liza makes her divorce official…and is still torn between Charles (Peter Hermann) and Josh (Nico Tortorella).

While there were plenty of jaw-dropping, cringeworthy, or “aw” moments this season on Younger, here are the five that popped out as our favorite scenes.

The tram slam. In order to help Kelsey get over the sudden demise of Thad (Dan Amboyer) and the abrupt end to their engagement, Lauren pushes Kelsey to start dating again. After a few duds, it seems like Kelsey has found the perfect man, Lucas (Sean Kleier). But, wait! She can’t date him because of Lauren’s bad pancake theory: the first person you date after being newly single is your bad pancake (i.e. the relationship won’t last so don’t waste your first post-breakup relationship on a good person). Kelsey begrudgingly agrees until she learns that Lucas lives on Roosevelt Island (transport there via tram) so, in the words of Lauren, “Roosevelt Island. Oh my God, I was wrong. He is your bad pancake…tram slam him”! The entire tram slam sequence was risque, and the scene leading up to it was hilarious. Definitely one of the most memorable scenes!

The Jewish bath. When Maggie meets a new love interest at her community garden, we all knew it was going to go somewhere interesting. We just didn’t expect it to lead to an Orthodox Jewish bathing ritual. Malkie (Sally Pressman) mentions going–to what Maggie thinks is a bathhouse–with her ex-lover. Naturally, Maggie wants to be there too in order to assert herself in Malkie’s life. Dragging Liza along with  her, the moment when Maggie gets into the water, naked, and the Orthodox women realize she’s not Jewish and freak out is, in a word, hilarious.

Peter visits Liza at the hospital. We never had a doubt that Charles’s feelings for Liza were still strong, but when he ditched his accomplished, beautiful, intelligent girlfriend, Radha (India de Beaufort) to run to Liza’s hospital bedside, we swooned.

Diana gets a man. Finally, Diana gets a solid romantic partner (even if we were nervous about him in the beginning). Richard (Mather Zickel) has steadily opened up Diana to her emotions, and it’s been great to watch.

Every single Josh moment. In case you couldn’t tell, I’m #TeamJosh (despite realizing how hunky and wonderful Charles is). Although Josh didn’t have as much focus this season as he has had the past two seasons, he was still a big part of the storyline, obviously. The fact that he was so serious about Liza–thinking about potential babies in their future and inserting himself into ALL aspects of her life with old friends and family–made him almost too good to be true. And, his foiled proposal at the end? It would have been so romantic!

So, what were your favorite scenes? Let us know! We’ll be reliving all of these moments–and more–as we wonder what comes next for season 4 of Younger.
