Pop-Culturalist is a digital media outlet launched in 2015 that celebrates entertainment in all its forms. From binge-watching our favorite shows and catching the latest blockbuster to enjoying a night on Broadway, the team is OBSESSED with pop culture.

Kevin is a writer living in New York City. He is an enthusiast with an extensive movie collection, who enjoys attending numerous conventions throughout the year. His favorite shows include Game of Thrones and The Flash.

Taraneh, Co-Founder

Taraneh has been happily living in NYC for almost ten years, but originally from the Midwest. Enamored with books at a young age, she grew up making stories, playing make believe, and loving the musical and performing arts. She is great at binge-watching TV shows. Some favorite things: Schitt’s Creek, A Court of Mist & Fury, Prince Harry, and The Magicians.

Parissa, Staff Writer
Parissa is a grad student studying Modern British History. Aside from loving anything British (she’d make a great Duchess), she also is passionate about theater, period dramas, and small college towns. She is excellent at movie trivia. Some of her favorites include: The Sound of Music, Gone with the Wind, Game of Thrones, and Outlander.

Christine, Staff Writer
Christine lives & works in New York City. She devours all things pop culture like they are astronaut ice cream (her favorite food). Shows she’s loving right now include Broad City, Nathan for You, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Dave, Staff Writer
Dave is a part time writer living in the Lower East Side. He enjoys reading and watching all things SciFi. His favorites include: Pushing Ice, Stargate, Coherence, and The Expanse.

Priya, Contributor
Priya lives and works in New York City.  She is an avid consumer of all things pop culture and celebrity gossip.  In her free time, she loves watching Netflix and Youtube.  Her favorite shows currently in rotation are Survivor, Homeland, Girls, and Shameless.
