Music Review: Mariah Carey’s Caution

With her first studio album since 2014, Mariah Carey’s Caution has finally been unleashed and she did not disappoint. Featuring collaborations with artists like Ty Dolla Sign, Slick Rick, Blood Orange, and Gunna, we have to admit, this is some of her best work.

Carey displays just how brilliantly seasoned she is lyrically with the album’s opener and title track, “Caution”, in which she expresses her need for her significant other to make the big move in their relationship. The track (produced by Canadian producer Nineteen85) sets the tone for what is a phenomenal comeback for the vocal legend.

Another standout is “A No No”, which was released just a few weeks ago and samples rapper Lil Kim’s 1994 single, “Crush On You”. The track received rave reviews from all over the internet and fans lit up social media platforms, like Twitter and Instagram, showing just how much they were feeling the track.

All in all, Mariah has delivered an album for fans of all ages, especially those who appreciate the classic MC sound with a nice blend of what’s out there today. You won’t be disappointed with this one.
