Love, From Cave to Keyboard- Imagined by Pepsi celebrates love through an interesting array of art pieces and exhibits.

In order to celebrate World Emoji Day (which is, officially, on July 17), Pepsi has created a 2-day interactive pop-up in New York City. The art pop-up has installations ranging from traditional art mediums to more modern technological ones–like #PepsiMojis–to show how people can (and do) express love through a variety of nonverbal communications.

When you walk into the space, you can begin with ancient hieroglyphics; there is a Virtual Reality station where viewers can experience being in a cave, reading hieroglyphics. From there, anywhere you turn has another wonderful exhibit to explore. There are heart smoke signals, a mini-silent movie theater (featuring a black & white film that is introduced by Maggie Gyllenhaal), heart sculptures, and interactive #PepsiMoji photobooths. Another engaging installation features members from Deaf West Theatre (you may know them from the recent fabulous revival of Spring Awakening) as they communicate in sign language. Attendees can watch as two people meet for a first date and communicate only in sign language.

From Olivia Palermo to Maggie Gyllenhaal to Andrew Rannells, the opening night of the pop-up was the place to be. DJ duo Lion Babe kept the energy up, and, of course, Pepsi supplied delicious drinks and cocktails for those in attendance.

Be sure to check out Love, From Cave to Keyboard on July 16 and July 17, 10a-6p (located at 433 Broadway in Manhattan).
