Why You Should Be Running to Attend Glader Con

It should come as no surprise but our writers love attending conventions. We’ve traveled coast to coast to provide coverage and to experience these terrific events. And, if you’re a fan of The Maze Runner, we’ve got a convention for you: Glader Con!

It’s the first ever convention for the best-selling series. And, it’s happening this year! Glader Con will take place in Atlanta, GA from November 11-13th. Tickets are available on their official site. The weekend promises to be packed with Q&As, photo ops, autographs, a charity auction, and more! If you’re still on the fence, here are some of the reasons why you should be running to attend:

The Guest List
Glader Con wouldn’t be complete without the author himself, amirite? Well, not to worry, James Dashner is one of the many guests the convention has announced. Confirmed talent (so far) include:

  • Ki Hong Lee (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt)
  • James Dashner
  • Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
  • Chris Sheffield (Happyland, The Last Ship, Transformers: Dark of the Moon)
  • Dexter Darden (Joyful Noise)
  • Blake Cooper (Necessary Roughness)

The Organizer
First-time conventions are tricky. They can be hit-or-miss. And, when you’re shelling out a lot of money, that’s always scary. But, rest assured, the mastermind behind Glader Con is Betsy! She’s one of the co-founders of the highly successful, Howler Con. So, we’re positive this will be a fantastic con.

Charitable Hearts
Glader Con will be raising money for First Books. The organization has distributed more than 135 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the U.S. and Canada. Can you say amazing? We love conventions that give back!

I know you’re dying to attend, we definitely are. So, what are you waiting for? Get your tickets today!
