Album Review: Charlie Healy’s Rendition: Vol.1

Charlie Healy first caught our eyes, or should we say ears, during his run on the U.K. version of The X Factor. He auditioned as a member of The Keys and made it all the way to Judges’ Houses. Unfortunately, that’s where the band’s journey ended. But, the judges felt Charlie was too talented to let go and we totally agree! So, they formed a super group called The Risk. They were frontrunners on the show until their shocking elimination in Week 5. Since then, they’ve all gone on to pursue solo careers. And, this past week, Charlie released Rendition: Volume 1.

On Rendition: Volume 1 Charlie takes on hit songs by Beyonce (“Drunk In Love”), Nick Jonas (“Jealous”), Sam Smith (“I’m Not the Only One”), Justin Bieber (“Love Yourself”), Clean Bandit (“Tears”), Justin Timberlake (“Can’t Stop the Feeling”), and Ed Sheeran (“Thinking Out Loud”). While most artists wouldn’t dare touch any of these pop classics, Charlie proves he’s got the chops to make them his own. The album is a testament to his undeniable talent. And, his soulful vocals have never sounded better.

We can’t wait to see what he has in store for Volume 2 but until then pick up Rendition: Volume 1 on iTunes today!
