To See or Not to See: Blood in the Water

Blood in the Water

It’s said that the past always catches up with you. And, that’s certainly true in the Cummings brothers’ Blood in the Water. The film is a sleek crime thriller with a twist that you won’t see coming.

Percy (Alex Russell, Believe Me) and Veronica (Willa Holland, Arrow) are enjoying their time in Hollywood, California while house-sitting a mansion they could never afford. But, when a friend with questionable motives reconnects, they’ll find themselves in a deadly love triangle. Freedgood (Miguel Gomez, Southpaw), a classmate from college, is fresh out of jail and back to settle some unfinished business.

Blood in the Water starts at the aftermath of the film’s major conflict. And, chronicles the events leading to the altercation. It’s a rare film that’s able to do this well. While you may expect the suspense to dip, it doesn’t. Audiences will be engaged from start to finish. This is a result of a fantastic script and incredible cast.

Blood in the Water stars three up-and-coming actors that you should keep an eye on. Their talent speaks for itself as they fully immerse themselves in their characters. There’s an uneasiness amongst the characters. And, with a past, as tangled as theirs, you can see why. The result is a slow, burning train wreck in front of our eyes. And, we couldn’t look away.

If you’re looking for a sexy crime thriller that’ll have you guessing until the end, look no further.
