Shocking Moments from Season 1 of The Shannara Chronicles

Tonight’s the highly-anticipated season finale of The Shannara Chronicles. Just a few weeks ago, we were watching Amberle make history in the gauntlet (still one of our favorite moments). To celebrate the show’s first season, we’ve put together moments that had our jaws dropping.

Amberle’s Shocking Visions

Who could forget the events that occurred after Amberle was selected as one of the Chosen? As they’re honored at a party, Amberle feels drawn to the Ellcrys. There she experiences a terrifying vision where she sees herself stabbing Lorin, only to be joined by him moments later. Yikes!

Eretria Steals Wil’s Elfstones

Friend or foe? I’ll be honest, after their initial encounter, I wasn’t quite sure. Eretria saves Wil’s life from a troll, only to later drug and steal from him. Wait, what!? But, as the season has progressed, it’s the perfect introduction to Eretria’s character and the pair’s topsy-turvy relationship.

The Changeling Kills King Eventine

The most shocking moment this season came when the Changeling killed Amberle’s grandfather. After murdering the king, the demon uses its shape-shifting abilities to take his place. I totally gasped and screamed during the scene.

Magic, Demons, and Death—Oh My!

Allanon is brought back from death by his former Druid-master’s spirit in an exciting turn of events. He is able to then get to the Dagda-Mor’s henge in time to try and assist the princes as they try to assassinate the Dagda-Mor (and we know they were set up by the Changeling demon posing as their father, the King). Although Allanon arrives just after Arion is killed, he is able to save Ander with some crazy Druid magic.
