Review: ‘A Seat At The Table’ by Solange

Solange is back with her brand new album, A Seat At The Table, which is her first release since the True EP (2012). For those of you who are familiar with Solange’s sound, then you already know that she comes hard with raw, real, and emotional music that is sure to sink deep into your heart and mind. Solange has become known for her Neo Soul sound and unique voice, which always adds richness to every record she releases and this new album is no different.

Featuring artists like R&B songstress Tweet, Lil’ Wayne, Q-Tip, and British singer-songwriter and producer Sampha who lends his talents to one of the album’s stand out tracks, “Don’t Touch My Hair”. It is very clear from listening to “Table” how close this project is to Knowles, who penned every track on the album that took her over four years to complete.

Do yourself a favor and pick the album, which is now available on Apple Music, Amazon and in stores everywhere.
