New Music: Shane Harper’s Like I Did

Shane Harper has never shied away from baring his soul in his songwriting. His latest EP—Like I Did—showcases his evolving maturity, resulting in his most sophisticated work to date. It’s an effortless blend of dance, pop, and R&B that’s sure to hit the right chords.

The title-track and lead single “Like I Did” is a catchy R&B hit about knowing that the person you love is with someone else. It’s one of those tracks that you’ll have stuck in your head. But, that isn’t a problem when it’s this good! Shane’s vocals have never sounded better and the elegant piano work is breathtaking.

“See You Around”—the next track on the EP—is the perfect follow-up to “Like I Did.” It’s a smooth combination of pop and melodic dance beats.

On the upbeat “Anything But Love,” Shane explores what it means to love someone who isn’t focused on being loved or cared for. It’s safe to say this track will be a club anthem with its dance-ready sounds.

“Satellite” closes the brilliant EP. The powerful piano ballad examines feelings of loss and regaining faith. You should probably have some tissues nearby. It’s an intimate and empowering listen. And, the perfect end to a stellar piece of art.
