New Music Friday Featuring Devin Kennedy, Lulu Simon, Sam DeRosa, and Chance Peña

Another week has come and gone, and we’re hours away from the weekend. If that wasn’t exciting enough, there are plenty of new releases to keep us busy until then. From artists like Devin Kennedy to Sam DeRosa, there’s something for everyone.

Lulu Simon’s “Strangers

Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Lulu Simon is no stranger to success. Following the release of her debut EP, the rising pop star earned praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, PEOPLE, and Spotify. Today, she makes her long-waited return with her new single, “Strangers.” Inspired by her own experiences overcoming a toxic relationship, Lulu shows off her growth and maturity with lyrics that will undoubtedly strike a chord.

Devin Kennedy’s “Gummy Worms

Rising singer, songwriter, and producer Devin Kennedy is delivering a tasty treat with his new single, “Gummy Worms.” The infectious pop tune is about the transitions we all experience in life, “I spent eighteen to twenty-two trying to figure out who I was and what I really wanted. A lot changed for me during that time. I finished college, fell in love, moved out of my childhood home and started making music full time. No matter how different and unfamiliar adult life feels, the things I learned and the memories I made growing up will always define me. That’s what I wrote ‘Gummy Worms‘ about.”

Sam DeRosa’s “321

Sony/Monument Records recording artist Sam DeRosa knows how to pen lyrics that connect with listeners on another level. But don’t take our word for it, just ask Charlie Puth, Ester Deen, Ryan Tedder, or Shane McAnally, who Sam impressed when she pitched her song on NBC’s Songland. Today, the songstress builds on that success with “321.” Sam tells us, “‘321‘  is a moment that we all experience in a break up: the late night, sometimes tipsy, moment of regret…when you tend to go crazy in your thoughts and think that you’ve made a mistake and after all this time, you want this person back. But do you really?”

Chance Peña’s The Inevitable

Singer-songwriter Chance Peña is a talent well beyond his years. His sophomore EP, The Inevitable, dropped today. It’s a raw, uninhibited look at the trials and tribulations we face in life, and choosing to embrace what you can control. A must-listen.
