Wizard World Coverage: Thor Panel

Since 2011, Wizard World has been producing pop culture conventions across the United States. Every year, their lineup keeps getting better. But, it’ll be hard to top the guests at Wizard World Philadelphia. The City of Brotherly Love was host to the cast of Captain America: Civil War and Thor. Yup, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston! If you’re sad you missed your opportunity to meet them, don’t worry! Chris Hemsworth is scheduled to attend the Wizard World cruise. We’ve also compiled our favorite moments from the Thor panel below!

Panel Highlights:

  • Tom is excited to get back into costume. He loves playing Loki because he’s a trickster.
  • The Hulk will show up in Thor: Ragnarok.
  • Chris and Tom instantly got along after their initial meeting. They were in similar places in their career and very appreciative of the Marvel universe. Tom jokingly said he had the same first impression that many have of Chris: “Jesus Christ, he’s huge.”
  • Tom said Chris is his “brother from another mother.”
  • Tom jokingly said you can’t be his friend if you didn’t like the helicopter scene from Captain America: Civil War.
  • Chris and Tom had a very touching moment when they comforted a shy fan.
  • Chris and Tom gave some great advice to the audience. Chris said you should always do whatever makes you happy. And, Tom said don’t take no for an answer. “The greatest tragedy in life is to look back and say I wish I had. You have one life and it’s a short one. You have to spend it doing things you love.”
  • When asked about what it was like to play Kevin from Ghostbuster, Chris said it was nice that he didn’t have to go to the gym. A fan jokingly said that they love that he goes to the gym. Tom also teased Chris by saying “WE love that you go to the gym.” And, then gripped his bicep.
  • Chris’ favorite role besides Thor is James Hunt from Rush
  • Tom’s favorite role besides Loki is Jonathan Pine from The Night Manager.

The entire weekend was tons of fun. If you want to see where else they’re heading, check out their Wizard World’s official site!
