Watch: Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Beyonce Perform At Super Bowl 50
This year’s headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show was none other than the band Coldplay, who has sold over 87 million albums worldwide and has won 7 Grammy Awards. Lead by singer Chris Martin, the band delivered some of their biggest hits including: “Viva La Vida” and “Paradise”.
Half way through the show, superstars Bruno Mars and Beyonce hit the field to perform. First up, Bruno Mars delivered an incredible version of his 2015 #1 single, “Uptown Funk”, which he chose to mash up with an early ’90s Hip-Hop backing very reminiscent of MC Hammer.
Next to grace the show was Beyonce, who performed her brand new single, “Formation”. Beyonce and her dancers put on a full-forced field show, which was nothing short of immaculate. Beyonce even managed to avoid a fall, in only a way that Beyonce herself can – not missing a single beat.
The two performers then joined forces to mix “Uptown Funk” and “Crazy In Love”, which sent the crowd into full pandemonium. These three acts showed that there truly is room for everyone in the music industry and that forces can indeed come together and deliver above and beyond!
