Linc Hand’s résumé is impressive to say the least. His credits include NCIS, Revenge, True Blood, Southland, 42, Imperium, and dozens more. He’ll next be seen as Agent Kurt Checker on Fox’s new sci-fi comedy, Ghosted, opposite Adam Scott and Craig Robinson. Pop Culturalist sat down with Linc recently to chat about the role, his hilarious first encounter with Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, and how he plans to celebrate the show’s premiere on October 1st.
PC: Tell us about Ghosted and how you got involved with the project.
Linc: Ghosted is a comedic X-Files. It’s a fresh take with a lot of very funny but scary situations. My agent sent me an email about the audition. When I read the pilot, I laughed out loud.
PC: You play Agent Kurt Checker. What should everyone know about him?
Linc: Checker is the James Bond of a secret government agency known as “The Underground”. He deals with everything paranormal.
PC: The show features an incredible cast (yourself included). What was it like working alongside actors like Adam Scott, Craig Robinson, Amber Stevens West, etc.?
Linc: Thank you! The cast is amazing and everyone is so down-to-earth. It’s always fun to be on set with this incredible cast and crew.
PC: What are you most excited for fans to see?
Linc: I’m excited for the fans to see the fun way the show deals with the paranormal. It’s a fresh and fun take on the subject and I really believe that audiences will have a blast watching it.
PC: What was your favorite on or off set moment?
Linc: My favorite on set moment was when I first met Craig Robinson and Adam Scott. We were rehearsing a scene where I was in nothing but a nude speedo and I was meeting them and trying to be cool while standing around in a speedo. It was a very interesting way to be introduced to everyone [laughs].
PC: The series is set to premiere on October 1st, how are you feeling about the anticipation? How do you plan to celebrate?
Linc: I’m so excited! I’m seeing billboards all over and commercials running all the time. Everyone I talk to is so excited to see the show and that’s such a great feeling. I’m probably going to just watch with my fiancé and our Siberian husky and maybe have a few friends come over. It’ll be low key for sure!
PC: Ghosted is sci-fi meets comedy. Do you naturally gravitate towards one or the other?
Linc: In my career, I have done more dramatic roles but I love that I have had the opportunity to do a comedy. It’s such a nice change of pace.
PC: Do you believe in the paranormal?
Linc: Absolutely, I do!
