Tonight marks the premiere of SYFY’s Hunter—airing at 10/9c. The excitement for the show has been building since the announcement of Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) and Natalie Chaidez’s (12 Monkeys) involvement. And, the network’s resurgence with shows like The Magicians and The Expanse further add to the hype. But, does Hunters exceed expectations? Inspired by the best-selling novel by Whitley Strieber, Hunters follows the story of FBI agent Flynn Caroll (Nathan Phillips, Wolf Creek). Pierce Brown’s Red Rising trilogy has taken the world by storm since the first book was published in 2014. The last book in the trilogy, Morning Star, just came out in February and hit #1 on the USA Today bestsellers list. Okay, so… he’s successful and all but why else are we crushing on Pierce Brown? Last night, America said goodbye to one of it’s most beloved television shows: American Idol. After 15 seasons of bringing forth brand new, raw talent and entertainment galore, Fox has officially ended Idol’s run. The two hour series finale brought back some of Idol’s most loved and memorable alumni including: Carrie Underwood, Fantasia Barrino, LaToya London, Taylor Hicks, Katharine McPhee, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks and the original Idol, Kelly Clarkson. We were even treated to a reunion of the show’s original three judges: Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.
