It’s Friday and that means it’s time for another edition of #OntheRoad. This week’s featured artist just announced his first world tour. Yup, you read that correctly, a WORLD tour.
But should we expect anything less? He just spent the summer opening for Taylor Swift on her 1989 tour. Have you figured out who I’m talking about? Yup, it’s Shawn Mendes.
The Canadian heartthrob has been capturing hearts long before his debut album Handwritten was even released (mine included).
I was lucky enough to see him live at the Island Life showcase in NYC. He performed alongside artists including Time Flies, American Authors, Nick Jonas, Kiesza and Ansolo. Let me tell you, Shawn stole the show. Armed with his acoustic guitar, he performed hits including “Life of the Party,” “Stitches” and “Something Big.” Every song was effortless in its delivery and left me in awe. He commanded that stage.
There’s no stopping Shawn. He’s absolutely killing 2016. He just signed with Wilhelmina Model and made his television debut on the CW’s The 100.
Before he starts his world tour, Shawn is making a stop at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in NYC. Guess what, that concert sold out in under five minutes. FIVE MINUTES! If you’re wondering, I didn’t get a ticket but there’s always StubHub. Yes, I want to see him live for the third time, he’s THAT good.
Don’t suffer the same fate I did. Sign up for ShawnAccess.com and receive a presale code. Also, the first 50 ticket buyers (25 from presale, 25 from regular onsale) will receive a free meet-and-greet pass. So what are you waiting for?
Need some more convincing? Here are some of my favorite performances by Shawn:
