Man Crush Monday: Tom Hiddleston

Intelligent, attractive, well spoken, versatile: these are just a few words to describe Tom Hiddleston. You can currently find him on television as the charming Jonathan Pine in The Night Manager (we love it), on movie screens in High-Rise, and see him in the pages of magazines. With no end to Hiddleston’s rising star path in sight, see why he is one of our favorite Man Crush Mondays:

  • He has a wonderful set of miscellaneous skills, namely playing spoons.

  • In I Saw the Light, Hiddleston plays Hank Williams and showed everyone that he has a set of pipes on him.

  • His intelligence. In a recent Times Talk in NYC to promote The Night Manager, Hiddleston was asked what his current pop culture obsession was. His answer? Jonathan Franzen’s latest novel, Purity. Literary folks everywhere collectively swooned. A handsome actor who reads intelligent fiction? Yes, please.
  • He actively promotes charity work. If you follow Tom Hiddleston on social media, you will frequently see posts promoting various initiatives by UNICEF. He has also done several videos for charities, like the Ice Bucket Challenge and the Sohana Tongue Twister Challenge (enjoy the video below with some giggles!). Taking time to use his fame for good is not only endearing, but says a lot about him as a person.

  • He made us love the villain. His Loki is the perfect blend of coldhearted villain and secret softie.

  • Finally, how can you not be mesmerized by the intensity of his gaze or the brightness of his smile?

These are just some of the reasons why his legion of fans call themselves Hiddlestoners….welcome to the club!
