Joshua Bassett Isn’t Holding Back on His New Single “Lie Lie Lie”

High School Musical: The Musical — The Series‘ Joshua Bassett is getting something off his chest. On Thursday, the twenty-year-old singer-songwriter and actor dropped his latest single, “Lie Lie Lie,” which comes off his upcoming debut EP. The track finds Joshua scorning a friend who betrayed him. It’s caused quite the stir on social media and has fans speculating who it could be about!

But, on Wednesday, Joshua shared on Instagram, “I wrote ‘Lie Lie Lie’ after I found out a friend had been lying about me behind my back for a long time. It always sucks to hear that someone you thought you could trust would throw you under the bus when it benefits them. It happens to all of us, and I think all you can do is seek out people that build you up rather than tear you down.”

What do you think? Listen to the track here and watch the music video below!
