FX’s Alien: Earth Brings the Xenomorph to Your City with “The Hunt” Global Experience

This summer, the terrifying universe of Alien crashes down to Earth—literally. In celebration of the highly anticipated sci-fi series Alien: Earth, FX is launching The Hunt, an immersive global experience hitting fourteen cities around the world starting August 9.

Fans in seven U.S. cities—New York, Dallas, Nashville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle—will find themselves in the middle of an alien containment operation after the USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth. Across the globe, the chaos will also unfold in Valencia, London, Toronto, Mexico City, São Paulo, Tokyo, Seoul, and Sydney. At each location, daring participants can approach Prodigy Corp officers guarding massive crates from the wreckage for a chance to instantly win exclusive prizes. Stateside, rewards include limited-edition Alien: Earth x Skullcandy Crusher EVO Headphones, an Alien: Earth thermos, collectible pins, and special offers from W Hotels and Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer. The activations also promise hidden Easter eggs, Instagram-worthy photo ops, and an extra dose of sci-fi spectacle.

The fun doesn’t end on the ground. FX has also launched The Hunt Sweepstakes, running through August 17, giving U.S. fans the chance to win more exclusive merch—or the grand prize: roundtrip airfare and a two-night stay at one of the participating W Hotels in New York, Hollywood, San Francisco, or Seattle. To set the stage, FX is flooding cityscapes with out-of-this-world OOH installations, from a 3D Times Square billboard with a Xenomorph lunging toward onlookers to a Hollywood takeover featuring massive crates, LED screens, creature sound effects, and even a motion-activated jump scare.

Alien: Earth premieres Tuesday, August 12 on FX and Hulu in the U.S. and on Disney+ internationally. If you think space is scary, just wait until you see what’s landed in your backyard.
