Future Man’s Season 2 is Another Must-Watch
Season 2 of Hulu’s hilarious, wacky, and genre-bending show, Future Man, begins right where season 1 left off. Furthermore, where season 1 paid homage to classic films like Back to the Future, season 2 adds in films like Mad Max in the new dystopian, sci-fi-esque setting. [Don’t worry, NO spoilers below!]
Josh (Josh Hutcherson), Tiger (Eliza Coupe), and Wolf (Derek Wilson) are in a new timeline that has developed, thanks to their efforts to prevent the war. Biotics are now bio-techs, intent on getting off a failing Earth to colonize Mars. Then, there’s the New Above Ground (NAG) citizens who have rejected technology and live off the land as best they can.
Stu Camillo (Haley Joel Osment) also returns, in this new timeline (which of course means he’s different version of the season 1 Stu we know), as a leader of the bio-techs. When we meet him, we discover his preference for a hologram who looks a lot like Tiger…without spoiling anything, it’s great fun to watch.
You can expect a tighter storyline–since there’s less jumping throw time–with the fantastic nostaglia and jokes that permeated season 1. There’s a cameo from co-creator Seth Rogen, and a bonafide musical number between Stu and Tiger.
In short, season 2 is even better than season 1 so it makes for the perfect weekend binge-watch.
