Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Devin Kennedy’s “Something Bout That Feeling”

Last year Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and producer Devin Kennedy began a new chapter in his career. He started releasing his own original music, like “Body,” “Waste of Time,” “Bad Habit,” and “Feel the Same.”

Today, he drops the official music video for his new single, “Something Bout That Feeling,” exclusively here on Pop Culturalist. The heartfelt track is dedicated to his family, who are always there for him through the highs and the lows. It features a piano sample by Kennedy’s late grandfather; his grandfather originally recorded it on cassette in the ’80s, and then Kennedy digitally restored and remastered it.

The song is a testament to Kennedy’s songwriting abilities and a hopeful reminder to listeners that even through the darkest of times, family is always there. “I wrote “Something Bout That Feeling” about the unconditional love of family and how even on our worst days we have them to fall back on,” Devin told Pop Culturalist. “The music video is a party; [it’s] a three-minute compilation of home movies that my parents took during my childhood. It has my best friends, family, places I’ve lived, and some of the greatest memories in it. I love it.”

Watch the video below and prepare for all the feels:
