Beth Hall joined the cast of Mom back in 2014. She became a fan favorite with her hilarious and captivating performance as Wendy. Now in its seventh season, Beth’s character has an upcoming arc that will change everything we know about Wendy. Pop Culturalist caught up with Beth to chat about the episode.
PC: We heard that Wendy has a big episode coming up. What can you tease about it?
Beth: I can say that Wendy reacts to a friend’s death differently than everyone else, and we learn a few surprising things about her past.
PC: How will that affect Wendy moving forward? How did you prepare for the episode?
Beth: It’s possible that she will develop a better relationship with Bonnie, but I’m not sure. I prepared like any other episode, but doing a scene with Allison makes everything go easily.
PC: You’ve been a part of the cast since 2014. What has being a part of this series meant for you both personally and professionally?
Beth: This has most definitely been the biggest role I’ve had so far. To be a part of such an incredible ensemble and working with amazing guest artists has been such a wonderful experience! I’ve made lifelong friends and learned so much.
PC: When you look back at the past five years, is there a moment that stands out to you?
Beth: I became a series regular in Season 3 after guest-starring in Season 2. One day, I came in and there was a director’s chair with my name on the back waiting for me at the table read. It was a very emotional moment because I had been on so many sets and sat in so many chairs marked “cast” but never had a chair with my name on it. So that was huge.
