Often hailed as the queen of micro-dramas, she delivers performances that feel out of this world—just as the medium demands. In under two minutes, Nicole can shatter hearts, spark laughter, and stir reflection, distilling the full emotional arc of a feature film into a single, unforgettable moment. Her raw, magnetic presence on screen has drawn millions of viewers across platforms, a testament to her ability to turn brevity into art and connection into something cinematic.

As audiences continue to redefine how they connect with stories, Nicole stands at the forefront of a creative revolution. She’s helping shape a new kind of storytelling—one that meets people where they are without sacrificing depth or artistry. In a space where pacing and technology drive the experience, Nicole brings empathy, precision, and intention, proving that emotional resonance can thrive in any format. Her performances remind us that even the briefest stories can carry the weight of something far greater when told with heart.

For Nicole, that connection extends far beyond the screen. The community she’s built—first back home in the South and now in Los Angeles—has been instrumental in shaping the artist she’s become. Surrounded by collaborators who share her passion for storytelling, she’s found both inspiration and belonging in a creative space that thrives on innovation. Pop Culturalist was lucky enough to speak with Nicole about her journey, her love for storytelling in all its forms, and how she’s helping redefine what drama looks like in the digital age.

PC: You’ve mentioned in past interviews that everyone has their own unique journey. Looking back on your career, what moment do you credit with setting you on this path?
Nicole: I’ve loved acting for as long as I can remember, but the defining moment came when I stepped away from it after college to take another job. That experience made me realize, very clearly, that I’d never be truly happy doing anything else. That clarity gave me the drive to go all in and build the career I have today.

PC: There are so many different facets to your career—you’re not only an actor but also a producer and host. How have those roles influenced one another?
Nicole: Going to film school and learning about every aspect of filmmaking has been one of the most valuable experiences for me as an actor. It gave me a real appreciation for the technical side of the process—the lighting, the camera work, the editing—all of the elements that are just as essential as the emotional performance in front of the lens. Understanding those pieces has made me more collaborative and empathetic on set because I know how much work goes into every role, not just my own.

As for hosting, that taught me something completely different but equally important: the power of joy and genuine curiosity in what you do. I had the opportunity to talk with so many people who were truly passionate about their craft—and others who maybe weren’t—and the difference was always clear. That experience reminded me to always stay connected to what inspires me because that’s what keeps the work meaningful.

PC: Community has been such a throughline in your career. Who are the people who’ve held space for you along the way? And what has the journey been like—going from the South to LA and finding your tribe?
Nicole: My family and my closest friends from back home have been my biggest supporters from day one. They’ve always held space for me and believed in me, and I’ll always do the same for them. Moving from the South to LA was definitely an adjustment, but I was fortunate to find an amazing group of people here who have become like family. Once I started working in the vertical space, that community expanded even more—I met so many incredible, creative people who continue to inspire me. It’s such a supportive environment, and it’s been amazing to watch everyone grow and lift each other up along the way.

PC: When you first got into verticals, the format was still finding its footing. What was it about the medium that resonated with you, and what’s been the most surprising part of working within it?
Nicole: When I first got into verticals, I was honestly just thrilled to be acting—I’ll take any opportunity I can to create and tell stories. But as I started working in the format, I realized how much sense it makes for the world we live in today. It really fits the way we naturally consume content now—the technology, the pacing, the attention span—it’s all perfectly aligned with how audiences connect to stories in the moment. What’s surprised me most is how quickly it’s evolved. I don’t think I’ve ever personally witnessed the birth of a new medium before, and being part of that growth has been such a whirlwind. It’s exciting, unpredictable, and something I genuinely wouldn’t trade for the world.

PC: With the shorter vertical format comes the opportunity to explore a diverse range of characters. Has that freedom unlocked new dimensions in your creative process or influenced how you approach character development?
Nicole: Working in verticals has definitely helped me hone my on-set process. It’s such a unique and stylized form of acting, and I approach it differently than I would another platform. Verticals often call for bigger, more heightened choices—something that immediately grabs attention—whereas in an indie project, I might lean into a more subtle, grounded approach. That said, the core of the work is always the same: finding the truth of the character.

What verticals have really taught me is how to dive into a story quickly. We usually have about a week to prepare, and many of us are wrapping one project as we start another. So it becomes about finding the humanity in a situation fast and bringing that to life, even within the stylized, fast-paced nature of the format.

PC: You’re someone who lights up on set and clearly loves feeding that creative fire. What can fans look forward to seeing from you next, and what’s still on your bucket list to tackle?
Nicole: I’ll definitely be continuing with verticals for the foreseeable future while also working on features and short films. My biggest goal is to keep learning, growing, and exploring new stories. I wouldn’t say there’s one specific project I’m chasing in the vertical space—I just love getting a script that challenges me or lets me step into a world I’ve never experienced before. So right now, I’m drawn to anything new, exciting, and creatively fulfilling.
