Exclusive Clip from ‘Goldstone’, Starring Aaron Pedersen, Alex Russell, & Jacki Weaver

The stakes couldn’t be higher in this exclusive clip from the Australian crime thriller, Goldstone. The feature (available on VOD on September 11th) is one of the most talked-about films of the year, earning 28 nominations and 11 wins at the AACTA, AFCA, and ASSG Awards, as well as at the BFI London, Sydney, and Toronto International Film Festivals.

Written and directed by Ivan Sen (Mystery Road), Goldstone is a complex, stylish, and timely film that explores themes of racism, police corruption, human trafficking, and the trampling of indigenous people’s rights. It follows detective Jay Swan (Aaron Pedersen, Mystery Road) who finds himself in a small mining town of Goldstone on a missing person’s case. While there, he crosses path with local cop Josh (Alex Russell, S.W.A.T.). The pair must overcome their mutual distrust to uncover a web of crime and corruption, which leads directly to the town’s cold-blooded Mayor (two-time Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver, Silver Linings Playbook) and its smarmy gold mine director (David Wenham, Lord of the Rings).
