Book Review: Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon
Nicola Yoon’s new book is called Instructions for Dancing which comes out on June 1st. I’ve been a fan of Nicola Yoon since her debut novel came out.
In Instructions for Dancing, Evie has an estranged relationship with her dad. Evie doesn’t believe in love anymore after finding out that the reason for her parent’s divorce was due to the fact that her dad cheated on her mom. She starts to think that all relationships will end in heartbreak. She’s adamant about getting rid of all her romance novels and returns them to a little library nook where an elderly woman hands her a book called Instructions for Dancing. In a chaotic turn of events, Evie gains psychic power to show her the future and present of other people’s relationships.
Highlights
- Incredible dance moves, gut-wrenching scenes, and lots of feels!
- It’s difficult to put down-I had to finish this in one day.
- I loved seeing X and Evie slowly fall for each other.
- I adored Evie’s character development!
Lowlights
- I was expecting this to be a cute, fluffy romance novel-instead, it was very emotional but in the best way possible!
- Some scenes were slow.
Final thoughts: If you love romance books that are heartfelt or you’re a bookworm, this one is for you! As a die-hard Nicola Yoon fan this was a book I’ve been waiting for a long time! You can follow Nicola Yoon here.
