Book Review: Book Lovers by Emily Henry
Book Lovers is Emily Henry’s new novel that centers around literary agent Nora Stephens and grumpy editor Charlie Lastra.
Nora Stephens reminds me of Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada. She is a New Yorker who loves the city, her career, and her younger sister Libby. When Libby convinces her to go on a trip, Nora keeps encountering Charlie, an old colleague from NYC that she despises. But as they spend more time together, her perspective of him starts to change.
Highlights
- The chemistry between Nora and Charlie is undeniable! I absolutely adore both of them.
- I love that even though this is a romance, it also has an underlying theme of self-love!
- This starts out with Hallmark vibes, but the end took me by surprise in the best way possible.
Lowlights
- Nora’s need to fix everything.
Final Thoughts: Overall, this is an adorable rom-com book and I’m glad it lived up to the hype. I enjoyed the rivals-to-lovers trope. If you want a book about sisters, self-love, and romance then this book is perfect!
