Beyond Sets Premiere Date and Releases Epic First Trailer

Well, guys, with Fall premieres underway, it seems like the perfect time to talk about what shows should be at the top of your list come Winter. And, we’ll let you in on a little secret…we found one that’ll have you on the edge of your seats. It’s Freeform’s binge-worthy new sci-fi drama, Beyond.

Beyond tells the story of Holden, a young man who wakes up from a coma after twelve years. The twist? He now has special abilities. Holden must learn how to harness his powers while trying to survive in a world that’s changed while he’s gone. And, ultimately he’ll need to uncover why this happened to him.

We were lucky enough to screen the first episode at New York Comic Con and let’s just say we wish it was January already. Executive Producers, Tim Kring (Heroes), David Eick (Battlestar Galactica), and Adam Nussdorf (Once Upon a Time in Wonderland) joined lead actor and Hollywood’s soon-to-be new “It Boy,” Burkely Duffield gave the audience a sneak peek of the first episode. And, judging by the reaction of the crowd, it’s a must-see.

Beyond premieres on January 2, 2017 with a two-hour event. And, in a network first, the entire season (all ten episodes) will be available via the Freeform App, Freeform.com, On Demand, and on Hulu. Amazing, right? We don’t know about you but we know what we’ll be doing that day. This change marks a huge milestone for Freeform a year after their rebrand. President Tom Ascheim states, “One of the promises we made to our audience at the time was to create content they love and make that content easily accessible. Beyond helps us live up to both promises.” You go, Glen Coco, I mean Tom Ascheim and the Freeform team.

Beyond stars Burley Duffield (House of Anubis), Romy Rosemont (Glee), Michael McGrady (American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson), Jonathan Whitesell (Once Upon a Time).
