New Fall TV Shows We’re Excited For

This year, it feels like the fall television season is stuffed with many great debut shows. There’s a ton of comedy (we definitely need a lot of light, funny moments these days) along with dramas and nail-biting stories.

So, we’ve pulled together nine new fall TV shows that we can’t wait to watch.

The Orville (premiered September 10 on Fox)
This space odyssey-comedy stars Seth McFarlane so you know it’s got to have some really funny moments.

Ghosted, premieres on October 1 on Fox
Two funny leading men (Adam Scott and Craig Robinson) who play a paranormal sceptic and a paranormal believer who are recruited to work for an organization that investigates potential paranormal activity? Sounds like a recipe for a laughter-filled series.

The Gifted, premieres on October 2 on Fox
A series based on Marvel’s X-Men franchise is bound to be a must-watch. Stephen Moyer plays a character who catches mutants but has two mutant children of his own. We’re already intrigued.

Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, premieres on October 3 on ABC
Jason Ritter is charming in everything he acts in so it’s no surprise that he looks endearing (and funny!) in this new leading role. We can’t wait to see how the show unfolds!

The Mayor, premieres on October 3 on ABC
A struggling rapper decides to run for mayor of his town in order to get publicity? And Daveed Diggs is an exec-producer? We’ll vote for that!

Lore, premieres on October 13 on Amazon
We’ve listened to Aaron Mahnke’s hit podcast that this new show is based on so we’re really excited to see how it becomes a TV show. It looks super creepy (thanks to producers from The Walking Dead and The X-Files). Plus, Holland Roden is in this, and we love her!

Mindhunter, premieres on October 13 on Netflix
We’ll watch anything with Jonathan Groff. This show tales place in the late 1970s and is about two FBI agents (one is Groff) who interview imprisoned serial killers in order to help them with current unsolved cases.

Future Man, premieres on November 14 on Hulu
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are two of the exec-producers and Josh Hutcherson stars in this comedy. Hutcherson plays a janitor/gamer is recruited to time travel in order to save humanity.

Marvel’s Runaways, premieres on November 21 on Hulu
Based on the comics of the same name, this show is about a group of teenagers (Runaways) who unite against their criminal parents (the Pride). A trailer has not been released yet.
