5 Reasons Why Famous In Love Will Be Your New Guilty Pleasure

We’re hours away from the premiere of Famous in Love, one of Freeform’s most anticipated new shows. The series, based on the bestselling novels by Rebecca Serle, follows the life of Paige Townsen (Bella Thorne), an ordinary college student who lands the lead role in a blockbuster film. She’ll soon learn, though, there’s a lot of secrets hidden in this crazy world they call showbiz. In honor of the big night we’ve put together a list of the Top Five reasons why Famous in Love is about to be your new guilty pleasure!

1. The Story

Who hasn’t dreamed about being discovered, landing the lead in a blockbuster film, and living in Hollywood? It’s a life that we could only imagine before, but, now, we’ll be able to see it through the eyes of Paige Townsen. And let’s just say things will get steamy! It’s Hollywood and everyone has something they want kept hidden.

2. The Cast

Freeform has put together a stellar cast of rising stars for Famous in Love. Bella Thorne (The Duff) leads the charge and she’s joined by Charlie DePew (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Carter Jenkins (Summer of 8), Niki Koss (Girl on the Edge), Georgie Flores (CSI), Keith Powers (Faking It), Pepi Sonuga (The Fosters), and Katelyn Tarver (Twentyfiveish). It’s refreshing to see so many fresh, diverse faces which makes this show even more exciting! They’re about to take Hollywood by storm, much like Paige Townsen.

3. The Characters

It’s pretty rare when you’re watching a new show to be so invested with everyone involved. It’s a huge testament to Rebecca Serle, who wrote the series, because you want to get to know each of these multifaceted characters, and you want to learn their stories (and their secrets!).

4. I. Marlene King

Anyone would be excited to see I. Marlene King’s name attached to a project. I mean, she is Freeform royalty after all. Maybe you’ve heard of a little show she created called Pretty Little Liars? Since that beloved series is ending this Spring, fans will be looking to fill that void. Luckily, we’ll have Famous in Love.

5. It’s Freeform’s Second Binge-from-the-Start Show

When Freeform rebranded, they made the promise to deliver great content to viewers in the way that they wanted to consume it, and, boy, have they delivered. They had a lot of success with their first binge-from-the-start show, Beyond, which went on to amass over 14 million viewers across TV and digital platforms. It’s a nice nod from the network that they feel confident about the story and the overall quality of Famous in Love to make it their second binge-worthy show. So let the binge-watching commence!

Tune in tonight at 9 P.M. EST to check out the premiere of Famous in Love. And then binge-watch the entire series on Freeform.com or the Freeform App.
