5 Fun Facts with Just Add Magic’s Aubrey Miller

Aubrey Miller is one of our faves here at Pop Culturalist.com, and we’re excited to see her step back into the shoes of Hannah Parker-Kent, the cautious but endearing character on the enchanting Amazon series Just Add Magic, which follows three young girls who discover a magical cookbook in the attic. We caught up with this talented youngster ahead of the season two premiere (now available on Amazon), and she shared five fun facts that you may or may not know about her!

1. She’s a plant-based vegan and has never eaten meat.
“I love living a healthy lifestyle and enjoy going to the farmers market on the weekend with my mom to buy our local farm fresh organic fruits, veggies, hummus, almond butter, etc. #AnimalLover #AnimalAdvocate.”

2. She loves KPOP!
“The music and dancing just get to me. I enjoy listening to many different groups, but BTS is my favorite for many reasons. I became a KPOP fan a year ago. You can view my KPOP dance covers on my YouTube channel. I’ll be posting new videos more frequently this year.”

3. She’s learning Korean.
“I’m in my third year of Spanish and my first year of Korean. I really enjoy learning different languages. Being bilingual or multilingual will give me the ability to travel seamlessly in other countries; to interact with people I wouldn’t otherwise be able to communicate with, and to really understand and immerse myself in another culture.”

4. She’s been dancing since she was three-years-old.
“I’ve trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, contemporary, and now I enjoy dancing to KPOP. A couple of fun dance facts: I was a competitive dancer growing up, and was accepted into the San Francisco Ballet at age 8. I was also featured on NBC’s The Voice as a dancer, and landed a role as a recurring dancer on a full season of Nickelodeon’s The Fresh Beat Band. My grandmother was also a dancer, so you can say it’s in our blood!”

5. She still has her signature ‘Megan Simms’ glitter high-top shoes from Disney Channel’s Austin and Ally!
“My character, Megan Simms, wore a pair of hot pink sparkly high-top shoes in each of her episodes, and at the end of the season I was given the shoes as a fun reminder. I was fuh-reak-ing!”

Stream the new season of Just Add Magic on Amazon, and make sure to follow Aubrey on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and also subscribe to her YouTube Channel.
