O’neill Hudson is an exciting new project by L.A. musician, Paris Carney. It’s taken the industry by storm and the latest single, “I’m All You”, has been streamed over 140,000 times in less than three weeks! Talk about impressive, amirite? This instant hit features Johnny Hanson—who sings, co-wrote, and produced the song with her in L.A. Don’t worry, we’ve included it below for your listening pleasure. We also chatted with the singer-songwriter and learned five interesting facts about her!
2. She played the flute in middle school instead of joining choir.
“I thought it seemed cooler at the time to be in band rather than choir, but I was so awful at the flute. I played all three years somehow. [laughs] At the end of sixth grade, I ended up joining quartet, and I sang lead (the melody essentially), but I really wanted to be baritone (the more complex harmony).”
3. She sang background vocals for the Jonas Brothers and Hailee Steinfeld.
“My husband was the Jonas Brothers’ bass player from the start of their touring in 2005, and when we married in 2012 I was asked to join. It was an unbelievable experience. I got to sing in so many amazing places with the best people. In 2013 I had a brief stint of singing background for Hailee Steinfeld right after “Love Myself” came out.”
4. She is obsessed with coffee.
“Legit—I go to classes about high end coffee and watch movies about it. I have probably gone to every third wave coffee shop in Los Angeles. It’s such a joy to my soul.”
5. Her great-uncle was actor Art Carney from The Honeymooners. He won the Academy Award for the 1974 film, Harry and Tonto.
“He was one of my late grandfather’s brothers.”
