We’re halfway through 2017 and there’s been a serious lack of new rom-com films. But, not to worry, we’ve found one that’s sure to warm your heart and make you laugh. It’s Kumail Nanjiani’s latest feature, The Big Sick. The story follows a couple that must deal with their cultural differences as their relationship grows. The Big Sick stars Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, Holly Hunter, and Ray Romano, and it opens in select theaters on June 23, 2017. Pop Culturalist is excited to give three lucky readers tickets to see the film. All the information is below.
About the Film
The Big Sick is based on the real-life courtship between Pakistan-born comedian Kumail Nanjiani (Kumail Nanjiani) and grad student Emily Gordon (Zoe Kazan) who fall in love but struggle as their cultures clash. When Emily contracts a mysterious illness, Kumail finds himself forced to face her feisty parents, his family’s expectations, and his true feelings.
