Win Tickets to a NYC Screening of Detroit

It’s summer time and there’s nothing better than a night at the movies. Pop Culturalist is excited to partner with Annapurna Pictures to give away tickets to a NYC screening of Detroit. The film hits theaters on August 4, but you’ll be one of the lucky few to see it before it’s released. All the details are below!

About the Film
A police raid in Detroit in 1967 results in one of the largest citizen uprisings in United States history. The story is centered around The Algiers Motel Incident, which occurred in Detroit, Michigan on July 25, 1967, during the racially charged 12th Street Riot. It involves the death of three black men and the brutal beatings of nine other people: seven black men and two white women.

Detroit stars John Boyega, Will Poulter, Algee Smith, Jacob Latimore, Anthony Mackie, Jason Mitchell, John Krasinski, Kaitlyn Dever, and Samira Wiley.
