The X Factor UK has helped launch the careers of global superstars including One Direction and Leona Lewis. It’s shown it’s a creditable platform for musicians looking to get their big break. As its thirteenth season heats up, we break down who we think can take home the crown.
Matt Terry
Matt’s the one to beat. From his initial audition, he set himself up as a frontrunner. And, he hasn’t looked back. He has a versatile voice that can sing just about anything. And, his falsetto will melt your heart. He’s taken the judges’ feedback and improved week after week.
Best Performance:
Emily Middlemas
Emily is a quiet soul and one of the most underrated vocalists in the competition. She’s proven she can captivate an audience with nothing more than her vocals. During Fright Night week, she stole the show and made the race to the finals a little more interesting.
Best Performance:
Ryan Lawrie
We’re not quite sure why Ryan hasn’t resonated with the voting public. He’s a fantastic singer, writer, and dancer. And, he has a swagger that can’t be taught. We could see him selling records worldwide. While he’s landed in the bottom on three occasions, he’s proven he has a fighter’s mentality. And, that’s why he’s our dark horse.
