It felt like Beatlemania last night as Bradley Will Simpson, James McVey, Tristan Evans, and Connor Ball, better known as The Vamps, performed to a totally sold out crowd at Gramercy Theatre. Fans lined up hours before the show with hopes of getting as close as possible to the stage and patiently waited in anticipation. And The Vamps, well, they didn’t disappoint.
The British pop band performed every hit song that made them a household name. Everything from “Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)” to the smash collaboration with Demi Lovato, “Somebody to Love.” Although Demi wasn’t there herself, The Vamps brought out special guest, Sabrina Carpenter to the roar of the crowd. She’ll also be joining the band on the UK leg of their world tour.
As the band finished their set, fans chanted for an encore and started singing the boys’ latest single, “All Night” (in perfect unison). And guess what, the guys returned to perform one more song before taking their final bow.
When the lights came up, it was clear that The Vamps were here to make a statement. They’re not only great musicians, they’re even better performers. It was an adrenaline-pumping show with infectious energy showcasing four artists whose friendship feels genuine. The boys promised to return in the summer and all we can say is, ‘hurry back’.
This year, The Vamps are embarking on a worldwide tour. Tickets and dates can be found on their official site. Trust us, go see them, you won’t be disappointed!
