Listen up Shadowhunters fans! Our favorite series revolving around Clary Fray & company has been renewed for season three! And filming of the final episodes of season 2B began in Toronto this week. Let’s sink our fangs into what has been going down in the world of Shadowhunters.
Thanks to some curious and eager fans, we were treated to some behind the scenes photos of episodes 19 & 20 being filmed in downtown Toronto. It appears that the core Shadowhunters unit of Clary played by Katherine McNamara, Jace Wayland played by Dominic Sherwood, Alec Lightwood played by Matthew Daddario, and Isabelle Lightwood played by Emeraude Toubia are on the lookout for something…and that something is most likely evil and out to challenge our favorite Shadowhunters. We also caught a glimpse of Luke Galloway played by Isaiah Mustafa and Maia Roberts played by Alisha Wainwright, who appear to be aiding the group in their hunt.
Director Matt Hastings also took a selfie with some of the cast on set with the caption “Sunday Funday”. While not many details have been shared regarding Shadowhunters season 2B, we think it’s fair to assume we are in for bigger and better storylines and sets.
Shadowhunters was officially renewed for season three this past Friday via a Facebook live chat with the main cast members. The lovely actors and actresses who make up the cast were more than excited to announce the renewal to their adoring fans, although not without teasing us a bit first! While we very much expected the series to get picked up for another season, we did have a slight moment of panic followed by a deep sense of relief. We are certainly not ready to say goodbye to our favorite Shadowhunters and Downworlders! Here’s to many more seasons!
Freeform also released the first season 2B trailer! Check it out below:
