SDCC 2018: Marvel’s Iron Fist Returns Sept. 7 + Other Panel Highlights

Marvel’s Iron Fist came out swinging at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Fans were treated to exclusive clips and a first look at the upcoming season, which returns September 7, 2018. In the room was the Iron Fist himself, Finn Jones, who was joined by leading lady, Jessica Henwick, and new additions, Simone Missick and Alice Eve. Rounding out the panel was the series’ new showrunner, Raven Metzner (Falling Skies), and stunt/fight coordinator, Clayton Barber (Black Panther). If you weren’t one of the lucky few to grab a seat in Ballroom 20, don’t worry: we’ve got you covered!

Season two further explores the transformation of Danny Rand as he battles to figure out who he is. With Matt Murdock gone, Danny promises to protect the streets of New York City, but a sinister plot threatens his very identity and he must conquer his enemies in order to protect the Big Apple and the people he loves.

Highlights from the Panel Include:

  • Jessica Henwick and Simone Missick teasing that their characters—Colleen and Misty—will join forces as the Daughters of the Dragon.
  • Alice Eve’s mysterious character is revealed and it’s Typhoid Mary.
  • Sacha Dhawan introduces the Steel Serpent, who will be involved in several crazy fight sequences with the Iron Fist. At one point, his fist even begins glowing!

Check out the season two date announcement below and binge-watch Iron Fist 2 on September 7, 2018.
