Pop Culturalist Attends Walker Stalker Con

The Walking Dead is without question one of television’s biggest shows. Amirite? So, it should come as no surprise that it has its own convention. Each year, Walker Stalker Con produces events across the United States and Europe, bringing the very best in horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. And, Pop Culturalist was lucky enough to attend its latest stop in Edison, New Jersey.

Walker Stalker Con brings all your favorite stars from The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Gotham, Bates Motel, American Horror Story, and more. The weekend is packed with panels, autographs, photo ops, a Walking Dead experience, and the opportunity to interact with any and all guests.

You’re probably asking yourself is it worth my time and hard-earned money to attend Walker Stalker Con? Well, you’re in luck, because we’ll tell you!

Out of the Box Activities

Walker Stalker Con does a fantastic job creating an experience where you feel immersed in a zombie apocalypse. You can be transformed into a walker, take photos with them, or literally walk amongst them in a one-of-a-kind attraction.

*Spoiler Alert*: The Walking Dead Experience was too scary for me to try out but if you’re braver than me, let me know how it is!

The Panels

Full Disclaimer: The organizers let attendees know prior to the event that none of the current cast members would be doing any panels. But, I wish they would have done something similar to what they did at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest and included a panel for other shows that were in attendance—particularly Bates Motel.

Photo Ops

A big round of applause for the Celeb Photo Ops staff. They were super friendly and considerate. They truly had the attendees’ best interest at heart.

The Guest Interactions

The entire weekend was a huge success. And, that was due to the wonderful actors and actresses who attended. They appreciated all the fans that came out and wanted to spend as much time at their booths interacting with them. Who was my favorite? Max Thieriot! He spent a couple of minutes with each and every fan who came to his booth. It was like talking to a friend as he talked about Bates Motel, his career, his newborn, and upcoming projects. What a guy!

If you’re a fan of the blog, you know I attend a lot of conventions. And, Walker Stalker Con is one you can’t miss. Their upcoming events are listed on their official site. We’re definitely considering going to their spots in Philadelphia or Boston!
