Ones to Watch

Ones to Watch: Brandon Rogers

History was made in April of 2005 when the first video was posted on YouTube. No one could have predicted that it would become the global platform it is today with over one billion hours of content consumed each day (Yes, one billion. You read that correctly). It paved the way for new voices and creators like Brandon Rogers, who’s quickly building his comedic empire one laugh at a time. His over-the-top and outrageous sketches have captured the hearts of over 3.9 million subscribers, and like the character he has created and played, Brandon Rogers is one-of-a-kind.

Brandon didn’t get to where he is today without hard work and dedication, and his journey is far from an overnight success story. He spent a decade creating content, long before he had an audience. It’s that relentless grind that helped him land his own series, Magic Funhouse, on Fullscreen. With Brandon at the helm, the program pushed the envelope and earned a nomination for Best Comedy Series at the 2017 Streamy. Since then, he’s been nominated for a Shorty Award and been recognized for his talents at the 2017 Just for Laughs Festival. This spring, he brought his laugh-out-loud act on the road. And if you’re wondering what a Brandon Rogers’ show is like, we spoke with the man himself: “What you’ve seen from my videos is what you should expect. It’s bringing that experience to a live audience.” When he’s not touring, Brandon can be seen as Sam in his Facebook Watch series, Stuff & Sam, a show that follows closeted Sam and his roommate Donna as they attempt to raise a baby.

It’s easy to see why this quadruple threat is one to watch this year (and for many to come). Keep up with all of his endeavors by following him on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. And don’t forget to subscribe to his YouTube Channel for plenty of laughs.
