Jo Koy Joins Forces with ILLEST for Exclusive Merch Line

It’s a big day for Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy. His latest Netflix special, Jo Koy: In His Element, dropped today, along with his exclusive clothing line with streetwear brand, ILLEST.

The four-piece collection perfectly incorporates the iconography from Jo’s special with the trademark design of ILLEST. The collaboration is a first of its kind in the comedy world and features limited edition tees and hoodies.

Mark Arcernal, Global Creative Director of ILLEST told Pop Culturalist, “After much back and forth via Facetiming over the last few weeks, Jo gave me a lot of insight into his upcoming special, which is launching on Netflix on June 12th. I sent him ideas and we locked in on the iconic Jeepney and old English lettering, which he loved, and we decided to move forward on that vibe. I worked on the initial design and had my team in Asia animate and bring our collective ideas to life. This type of collaborative effort from both sides encompasses who we are as a brand here at ILLEST. We push each other to bring out the best in everything we do.”
