Now, more than ever, we need music to lift our spirits. As we live through these uncertain times, music brings comfort that’s hard to describe. Luckily, Jo James has captured that in his latest single, “Back Home.” Dedicated to his wife, “Back Home” celebrates those who allow us to be our true authentic self. The singer-guitarist tells Pop Culturalist, “The song is about finding home within yourself or with people who allow you the safe space to be who you are. My wife, Chelsea, is my rock. She empowers me to be my best self.”
It’s the title track from Jo’s forthcoming album, set to be released on June 19. Inspired by his wife’s resilience during her battle with Ulcerative Colitis, Back Home is filled with heart and soul. It tells a story of love, pain, struggle, defeat, and ultimately, triumph, which is felt in every groove and melody.
Pop Culturalist is excited to bring you this exclusive first listen of Back Home.
Keep up with Jo by following him on Twitter, Instagram, and Spotify.
