Book Review: Dating Dr. Dil by Nisha Sharma

Dating Dr. Dil is a beautiful adult rom-com by Nisha Sharma.

Dating Dr. Dil follows Kareena, who is a hopeless romantic all thanks to her parents’ epic love story. When her father tells her that he’s putting the house up for sale, Kareena strikes a deal—she gets the house if she can get engaged in four months!

When Kareena and Dr. Prem’s online debate about love goes viral, Dr. Prem needs to fix his reputation before he loses everything. On the other hand, Kareena is desperate to find love so that she can keep her father’s house. Kareena’s meddling aunties tell Dr. Prem that he has to convince Kareena that she’s the one for him if they want them to fund his clinic. They’re both running out of time to get what they want. Kareena & Dr. Prem are just starting to realize that their hatred for each other might turn into something more.

Highlights

  • I absolutely adored the banter between Kareena and Dr.Prem.
  • It’s the perfect novel for fans who enjoy enemies-to-lover arcs.
  • The meddling aunties were actually one of my favorite side characters in this novel.
  • Usually, I tend to like the love interest more than the protagonist, but in this book, I loved both Kareena & Dr. Prem for different reasons.

Final Thoughts: Kareena and Dr. Prem from Dating Dr.Dil are both lovable in their own way. I enjoyed reading about the meddling aunties more than Kareena’s conversations with her dad. The protagonists balance each other out perfectly and I loved that this is the perfect laugh-out-loud rom-com.
