12 Favorite Moments from Shadowhunters Season 3B

It’s been over a year since we said goodbye to our beloved Shadowhunters. For three seasons, we went on a thrilling journey through the Shadow World as they battled demons, faced down their enemies, and built relationships that we fell in love with. Let’s take a look back at some of our favorite moments from the last twelve episodes of Shadowhunters.

Episode 3×11: Lost Souls | Alec gives Jace some tough love over his recent actions

Jace is acting recklessly and impulsively on patrols as he deals with his immense grief over Clary’s death and guilt over the horrible acts he committed under Lilith’s control. Alec tells Jace that he wouldn’t have survived losing him and that his behavior dishonors Clary’s memory. This hits Jace hard and he promises his Parabatai he’ll do better.

Episode 3×12: Original Sin | Simon goes through the ritual to remove the Mark of Cain

Desperate to be rid of the Mark of Cain, Simon endures a painful ritual that nearly kills him. Isabelle orders Simon to feed on her to restore his strength. He refuses because he doesn’t want to risk Isabelle getting addicted to vampire venom again. Isabelle bravely reassures him she’ll be okay, and Simon feeds on her. This moment reaffirms how much Simon and Isabelle mean to each other.

Episode 3×13: Beati Bellicosi | Luke tells Maia she is Alpha material

Following the events of season 3A, Luke is no longer a member of the wolf pack, nor its Alpha. Maia begs him to reclaim his place as she is unhappy with Russell’s leadership. Luke refuses, and instead encourages her to challenge Russell for Alpha. He believes she would make a great leader because she’s willing to put the pack before everything else. Moved by Luke’s belief in her, Maia considers making a play for Alpha.

Episode 3×14: A Kiss from a Rose | Maia and Jordan talk about their happiest memory

After the massacre of the wolf pack, Jordan is severely wounded. He and Maia are trapped in the freezer at Jade Wolf with no hope of help arriving in time to save Jordan. As Maia and Jordan recall their past, their happiest memories are of each other.

Episode 3×15: To the Night Children | Maia kills Heidi

Maia is out for revenge after learning Heidi orchestrated the attack on the wolf pack. In a clever move, Maia injects herself with holy water, lures Heidi into a fight, and baits the psychotic vampire into biting her, thereby killing Heidi. Justice is served.

Episode 3×16: Stay with Me | Magnus and Alec dream sequence

Magnus is in coma after reacting badly to Lorenzo’s magic. In a fun dream sequence, we see Magnus and Alec enjoy breakfast and a dance together.

Episode 3×17: Heavenly Fire | Isabelle and Aline work together

Isabelle and Aline discover Aldertree is the mastermind of the Clave’s black ops program, Heavenly Fire. When Aldertree figures out his date with Isabelle is a distraction while Jia searches his office, he makes an attempt to grab Isabelle. In one kickass move, Isabelle subdues Aldertree as Jia shows up to arrest him. Talk about girl power!

Episode 3×18: The Beast Within | Jace is Clary’s anchor

A terrified Clary confesses to Jace that the rune binding her to Jonathan is getting stronger and influencing her in ways she doesn’t like. The only thing keeping her from succumbing to its dark power is her Jace.

Episode 3×19: Aku Cinta Kamu | Magnus and his memories of Alec

A heartbroken Magnus wants to erase his memories of Alec after their break up. Just as he is about to do this, Asmodeus shows up to stop him. He’s able to convince Magnus it’s better to preserve his beloved memories and work through the pain to become stronger and wiser.

Episode 3×20: City of Glass | Malec proposal

With Alicante on fire and literally going to hell, Magnus finds a moment to ask Alec to marry him. It’s a bittersweet moment as the Malec proposal becomes a goodbye as Magnus sacrifices himself to save Alicante and those he loves.

Episode 3×21: Alliance | Simon and Isabelle share their first kiss!

As Simon and Isabelle continue to spend more time together and bond, they realize there may be more than just friendly feelings between them. When Simon decides to take a chance, and confess his feelings to Isabelle, it leads to a fiery first kiss.

Episode 3×22: All Good Things… | Magnus and Alec get married

In an unprecedented move, Magnus and Alec decide to have their wedding at the Institute. It’s a lovely ceremony with heartfelt vows between the couple. The Malec wedding was the perfect way to close out the show.
